Today I have submitted a complaint to the Serious Economic Crime Unit of the Kent and Essex Police regarding possible misconduct in public office by a senior Thanet Council officer in relation to a planning application submitted by East Kent Opportunities LLP for development of 550 houses on land adjacent to the New Haine Road.
Can we assume that the officer on question has been suspended by the council until the matter is resolved? If not, why not?
ReplyDeleteAre KCC and TDC in EKO really suing themselves with public money? Where is the FOI of EKO? Even for TDC this is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteYes its absolutely true. EKO is a 50:50 partnership between TDC and KCC . Their only source of income for their running costs is from the Council Tax. So you and I are paying to keep this company running. This includes paying all the costs for EKO (i.e. Thanet Council and KCC) to appeal against Thanet Council's decision to reject EKOs planning application. In short the people of Thanet will be paying what could be approaching £100,000 for Thanet Council to fight itself!!! You couldn't make it.up Time for a change.
DeleteIan, were Sandy Ezekiel and Ukip's Roger Latchord, leader and deputy leader of the council when EKO was first created?
ReplyDeleteRoger Latchford still supports it, I wonder why?
